Description SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE The Sponsorships Manager leads the overall strategy for securing event sponsorship revenue to achieve a total revenue goal of $500,000 annually. This role is responsible for developing sponsorship pricing, benefits, and collateral to drive event profitability, as well drive partnerships to sustain and grow funding. By building strong relationships with sponsors, grantors, and partners, the Sponsorships Manager ensures alignment with Give Kids The World’s mission and long-term revenue goals.
Key Accountabilities Sponsorship Strategy and Revenue Generation - Lead the development and execution of the event sponsorship strategy, including pricing models, benefits packages, and sponsorship collateral to maximize revenue.
- Secure sponsorships for key events, including Gala, Gingerbread Run, Playing Fore Wishes , and other organizational initiatives in close collaboration with the Development team portfolio owners.
- Identify, solicit, and secure new sponsorship opportunities while stewarding and renewing relationships with existing sponsors.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Events, and all of Development) to ensure sponsorship benefits are fulfilled and executed to the highest standard.
- Develop post-event sponsorship reports to showcase ROI and strengthen future commitments.
Strategic Planning and Profitability - Develop strategies to drive event profitability through improved sponsorship value, benefits alignment, and efficient resource allocation.
- Partner with all of Development to align sponsorship with overall organizational strategy.
- Regularly analyze sponsorship performance, providing reporting and recommendations for growth opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management - Act as the primary liaison for event sponsors ensuring relationships are nurtured through personalized engagement and clear communication.
- Provide VIP tours and engagement opportunities for current and prospective funders to deepen connections to Give Kids The World’s mission.
- Regularly represent Give Kids The World at external meetings, networking opportunities, leadership and community meet-ups, conferences, and events to promote sponsorship and funding opportunities.
- Consistently look for opportunities such as the above to gain partnerships and spread Village awareness.
Events Support - As part of the events team, provide planning and execution support for all fundraising events.
- Lead or support donor and sponsor events geared toward stewardship and networking as needed.
All Other Duties As Assigned PHYSICAL DEMANDS OUTSIDE NORMAL WORK ENVIRONMENT - Ability to travel up to 25% for meetings, conferences, and donor events.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events and sponsor engagements.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. for event-related tasks.
Qualifications SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Proven experience in securing sponsorships and grants in a non-profit or mission-driven environment.
- Strong experience developing sponsorship strategies, pricing structures, and benefit fulfillment.
- Demonstrated success managing relationship-building with funders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive proposal writing and presentation skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional project management skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must meet acceptable attendance and punctuality requirements, which are essential functions for the position.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Non-Profit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sponsorship sales, grants management, or fundraising roles.
Preferred Requirements - Experience with event fundraising and financial modeling for profitability.
- Knowledge of donor and grant management tools.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
- Familiarity with corporate sponsorship activation and benefits fulfillment.
- CFRE certification or related credential.
