As a Commercial Electrician you will focus heavily on commercial new construction, including retail centers, office buildings, warehouses, multi-unit developments, and mixed-use facilities. Responsibilities include rough-in and finish electrical work, panel and conduit installation, layout based on commercial blueprints, and coordination with general contractors and other trades. Knowledge of NEC code compliance, safety procedures, and commercial-grade materials and systems is essential. Residential new construction tasks may include wiring custom homes, installing service panels, and working from builder-provided plans. • Perform code-compliant installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial electrical infrastructure, including three-phase systems, EMT conduit, lighting control systems, panels, circuit breakers, outlets, and transformer connections. 
• Read and interpret commercial-grade blueprints, schematics, and job plans to complete installations accurately and efficiently. 
• Diagnose electrical faults, use testing equipment (e.g., ammeters, thermal scanners), and execute robust solutions to minimize business downtime. 
• Install and service emergency lighting, backup power systems, and automation equipment as required by small-business environments
• Deliver professional customer service, educating business owners on electrical system options, energy efficiency upgrades, and safety procedures
• Collaborate with general contractors, building inspectors, and other trades on commercial build-outs, remodels, and service calls.
• Maintain accurate job documentation, including materials used, time logs, and cost estimates.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations, NEC codes, and local standards—ensuring full compliance during every job. 
• Mentor apprentices or electricians-in-training when needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three (3)+ years of hands-on commercial electrical service experience, especially in small-business environments.
• Knowledge of Commercial electrical systems including; three-phase systems, commercial conduit, lighting controls, safety systems, and load management.
• Ability to read and interpret commercial electrical schematics, blueprints, and project plans
• Excellent communication and professionalism when working with business owners and construction teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight or elevated spaces as needed.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License. 
• U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
