Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques, ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic evaluations.

Duties

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform PET scans and other nuclear medicine procedures, accurately capturing images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Collaborate with physicians to evaluate scan results and provide detailed reports on findings.
  • Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
  • Educate patients about procedures, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety during procedures.
  • Keep accurate records of procedures performed and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and practices.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Tech.
  • Active BLS certification
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Experience with PET scans and other nuclear medicine imaging modalities is preferred.
  • Proficient in aseptic technique to ensure patient safety during procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
