Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Travel Position Location: Asheville, NC Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 3×12s Nights Pay: $2,062.80/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Asheville, NC on a 26-week travel assignment. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring, life-support measures, and complex interventions. The ideal candidate has strong ICU experience, excellent critical thinking skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and manage ventilators, infusion pumps, central lines, and other advanced life-support equipment.
• Administer prescribed medications, fluids, and critical care treatments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform rapid assessments, respond to emergencies, and initiate life-saving interventions as necessary.
• Educate patients’ families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and post-ICU care needs.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the medical record.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based practices in ICU nursing.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in North Carolina (or compact eligibility).
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent ICU nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); CCRN preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and decision-making skills in high-acuity situations.
• Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
