Job Title: Microsoft Systems Engineer 
Location: Remote 
Contract Duration: 6 Months 
Employment Type: Contract 

Position Summary:  

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Systems Engineer for a fully remote, 6-month contract. The successful candidate will manage enterprise-level Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory services, Windows Servers, and endpoint systems. This role includes patch management, performance monitoring, and Tier III escalation support for Windows environments. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Manage and maintain Microsoft domain environments including: 

• Active Directory (AD), ADFS, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and LAPS  

• Perform enterprise-wide patching and updates for: 

• Windows OS and standard desktop/server applications  

• Deploy, monitor, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability 

• Serve as Tier III escalation support for the desktop support team 

• Provide expert-level support for: 

• Windows 10/11  

• Microsoft Office deployment and troubleshooting 

• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain system integrity 

• Document processes, procedures, and solutions for knowledge sharing 

Required Skills & Qualifications:  

• 5+ years of experience as a Microsoft Systems Engineer or similar role 

• Deep understanding of Microsoft technologies including: 

• AD, ADFS, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, LAPS 

• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Windows 10/11 enterprise environments 

• Proven experience in Windows Server administration and monitoring 

• Experience with patching tools (WSUS, SCCM, Intune, or similar) 

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA , MCSE , Microsoft 365 Certified ) 

• Experience with Intune , SCCM , or Endpoint Manager  

• Familiarity with cloud-based AD (Azure AD)
