Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Materials and Purchasing Specialist with at least one year of relevant experience. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials from domestic suppliers to support production and operational needs. You will also assist in various supply chain analysis tasks to optimize purchasing strategies and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, negotiate, and purchase materials from domestic suppliers in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal teams to ensure material availability.
  • Track purchase orders and maintain accurate records of pricing, delivery, and performance.
  • Assist in analyzing supply chain data to support decision-making and identify process improvements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve issues related to shipments, quality, or delivery.
  • Support reporting and forecasting efforts within the purchasing and supply chain function.
  • Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related supply chain role.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: Associate degree (2-year) in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
