Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Bookkeeper to manage daily financial tasks, ensure accurate record-keeping, and maintain overall financial health. This role is perfect for someone who is self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software
Maintain and reconcile general ledger, bank, and credit card accounts
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Prepare financial documents for tax filings and audits
Monitor cash flow and alert management to potential issues
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Communicate with vendors, clients, and team members regarding financial matters
Maintain accurate and organized digital financial records
Requirements
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
Reliable internet connection and home office setup
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience with payroll and tax preparation
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and local tax regulations
Familiarity with cloud-based accounting tools
Certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper or QuickBooks ProAdvisor) is a plus
