Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process
Represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, and spousal maintenance matters
Draft and review prenuptial agreements and related legal documents
Handle sensitive issues such as domestic violence, child custody disputes, and child abuse cases
Advocate for clients in hearings, trials, and mediations

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants
Active license to practice law in Texas
Proven experience in family law litigation and negotiation
Strong written and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently
