Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering 24-hour emergency services, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, withdrawal stabilization, wound care and urology. ResponsibilitiesThe Case Manager functions to promote the development of case management and utilization to contribute to quality, cost-effective care. He/she provides guidance and direction to assist patients' families in the implementation of case management and post discharge. The Case Manager is expected to work collaboratively with Quality/Risk department, nursing staff, physicians and members of administration in the resolution of issues which are barriers to achieving desired treatment and financial outcomes. The Case Manager is responsible for on-going education of staff as it relates to case management principles/practices. The Case Manager may provide leadership to internal hospitals committees and task forces as appropriate. The Case Manager works with third party payer representatives as needed.
