The Business Development Director will be leading and coordinating manufacturing sales efforts in the Eastern North America geography representing Charles River’s development/manufacturing, manufacturing testing support and marketing initiatives in North America for Cellular Therapies, DNA, Plasmid and Viral Vector business units. The role will require coordinating with leadership and other sales team members across business units as well as product development teams to expand existing client revenue and close new business. The position will require coordination for proposal generation, technical support, site visits and key opinion leader relationships needed for business growth and to support overall marketing efforts.
The Business Development Director role will require the following: • Develop a sales strategy within the territory aligned with each business unit annual objectivesEXPERIENCE:
• The position requires 10 or more years of biotech, healthcare or diagnostics experience with a focus, at least within the last 5 years of sales and marketing with a specific focus in cell/gene therapies, regenerative medicine and/or advanced therapeutics.The pay range for this position is $140K - 200K USD annually. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

They partner with their colleagues across the company to develop and drive strategies and to set global standards. The functions are essential to providing a bridge between strategic vision and operational readiness, to ensure ongoing functional innovation and capability improvement.
