The Bioinformatics Specialist I will work under Dr. Raja Mazumder, contributing to the development of knowledge bases and bioinformatics tools. Responsibilities include data mining, script writing, data modeling, and maintaining datasets, as well as developing web interfaces and documentation. Tasks involve collaboration and communication using tools like GitHub and Slack. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 2 years of professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date. Preferred Qualifications Expertise in genomic data analysis and biocuration Familiarity with biological databases Skills in Python, MongoDB, web frameworks, HTML, CSS, JavaScript Experience with bioinformatics platforms and API development Additional Information Salary range: $52,385.57 - $83,863.89. The position is full-time, hybrid onsite/remote, located at GW's Foggy Bottom campus, with a schedule Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.
