About the Role
We're looking for an experienced estate planning attorney who is passionate about building long-term client relationships and guiding families through important life decisions. You'll work closely with our team to design custom estate plans, support trust administration, and deliver the highest level of service in every interaction. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys meaningful client work, collaborative teamwork, and the opportunity to help grow a respected, service-driven firm.
What You'll Do
- Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments
- Guide clients through estate and trust planning decisions with empathy and clarity
- Help manage and track deadlines, filings, and asset distribution in estate and trust cases
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless client service and contribute to firm goals
- Engage in community and client development activities to promote the firm and its mission
- Maintain clear communication with clients and professionals throughout the planning process
What We're Looking For

- A good listener and confident communicator
- Patient, empathetic, and comfortable talking clients through emotional or complex decisions
- Cooperative, team-oriented, and naturally supportive
- Detail-oriented, thorough, and committed to high standards of accuracy
- Self-motivated and open to growing personally and professionally
- Positive, solutions-focused, and ready to inspire confidence in others
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Kentucky
- 2-3 years of experience in estate planning
- Experience drafting wills, trusts, and related documents required
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $90,000-$125,000, commensurate with experience
- Bonus opportunities available
- Health insurance
- 401(k) plan with match
- Paid time off (vacation, sick, and personal days)
- Generous holiday schedule (Thanksgiving Wednesday-Friday and Christmas through New Year's)
- Truly family-friendly culture - We work hard during business hours, but we also believe in protecting personal time. Our attorneys work a true 9-5 schedule, with no weekends or evening hours. If you're coming from a large firm or a high-pressure environment, this balance may be especially appealing.
About You
You're the kind of attorney who finds purpose in helping others plan for the future. You value clarity, kindness, and professionalism. You take pride in your work, communicate with empathy, and thrive in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Your experience is rooted in estate planning and probate—not litigation—and your primary interest is continuing to grow in this field. If you're looking for a long-term opportunity to serve clients, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to a firm that values both heart and excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and a required cover letter telling us more about yourself and why this opportunity appeals to you. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered. All candidate inquiries will be held in strict confidence.
