The Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California seeks an adjunct instructor, specializing in food and culinary arts reporting and analysis, to teach JOUR 499: Bridging the Gap Between A. Influencers and Independent Journalists, Fall 2025.
This course examines best practices for influencers and journalists or finding a balance of both as a career. We seek for applicants who are experienced in topics that include creating content, ethical considerations, entrepreneurial strategies, legal issues, building brands, collaborative storytelling, engaging audiences and building trust. A specific lens on news, community reporting, food, health and culture in Los Angeles and beyond will be considered.
Requirements for consideration include a B.A., B.S., M.S., or an MA degree in a related field (especially journalism, English, creative or non-fiction writing.)
Previous teaching experience is desirable.
The hourly range for this position is $37.88– $46.96.
